News & Updates

We put a lot of prayerful consideration into this decision and feel that this is the direction God is leading us towards. "Oh Tear the Veil" has brought us many successes, but there is a negative connotation with that name in reference to the popular band called "Pierce the Veil". In order to grow as a band, we felt it was necessary to break away from this reference and start fresh with a new name and new brand. One thing has always remained the same with us; we are four brothers who passionately love Jesus and want to spread his word through our music. That is where we derive the new name. Simplistic and at the core of who we are.

We are currently recording on our new album. We are very excited about the new songs and feel that with a new sound and a new album, that it is the perfect time to go forward with this change.

We understand that changing a name is a lot of work and essentially starting us at the bottom again. No matter the name of our band, our message stays the same; keeping the focus of everything we do surrounded by Jesus, proclaiming his message through our songs, and being a light for our generation.

We hope you understand our reasoning for this change and that it does not effect your love you once had for us as individuals and OTTV. If you would like to chat more about this or if you have any questions we'd love to chat with you! Send us a message on the Contact page!

Thanks for the continued support. We love you all.

Creation Festival 2016.

Sonshine Festival 2016. Dang, Wisconsin is a long drive from Ohio! It took us 15 hours! We have never been that far west before to play a show, so we were pumped! We finally arrived around 9pm and set up camp! Around 4am we woke up to this crazy thunderstorm destroying our campsite, haha. We unfortunatly had 2 canopy's destroyed, but it made for a great story to tell when we got home.  The next day we explored the Sonshine Campgrounds and checked out merch, handed out postcards and enjoyed the festival! The next day we performed on the Fringe Stage which is set up in the awesome little barn on the top of a hill. It was extremely hot! We performed our set and met a ton of new fans afterwards. We cant thank everyone enough for even giving us the time of day and checking out our music! Overall Sonshine was a blast. It was an awesome experience and we met a lot of great people, musicians and fans. We are so thankful to the Creation Staff for giving us the opportunity to be on the lineup and All Glory to God for keeping us safe and providing us a reliable vechicle to travel across the country with! Till Next Year Sonshine \m/ Give Him glory. brothers.

Revelation Festival 2016.  Pennsylvania you are family to us. We have never had such an accepting and supportive group of people than our friends in PA. Every show we play we are blown away by the support you all show us. This past weekend we drove 6 hours to Headline at Revelation Festival in Lebanon, PA at the Kochenderfer Church. This was our 3rd year performing and 1st year headlining. Which meant we had to perform a 45 min set. Our set is normally 25 min tops so we had to get mentally prepared to perform that long! haha. We played our old Ep, material we had written and released as "Oh Tear the Veil" and our new Ep "Here & Now". We had a blast and our friends went nuts which is always an amazing experience.  We had an amazing time traveling and performing for our friends at Revelation Festival. We got to chat with some old friends and meet a lot of new fans as well. As we packed up our trailer and drove off at midnight for our 6 hour journey home we couldn't help but feel so happy and exhausted. You guys take great care of us.  Thanks for your continued support.  brothers.

This past weekend we drove to Spencer, Iowa to perform at a Skate competition. We have never been to Iowa before so we were excited! We left friday night at 6pm (because we couldn't get off of work, so we had to drive through the night). We drove across the Mississippi River in the dark! It looked cool! We arrived around 10 in the morning, so little to no sleep! But we survived. Spencer, Iowa was an awesome little town. They had everything! We had a blast watching all the talented skateboarders and scooters, ranging between kindergarden up to adult. We unfortunately got rained out toward the end of the event, but we were able to eat some amazing tacos before we left to drive another 14 hours through the night. We can't Thank Kim Smith enough for giving us the opportunity to travel out west. Also super blessed to have an extremely reliable vehicle to take us on these long journeys. Give Him Glory Always, brothers.
